Spitzen-Variationen

Das Staatsballett Berlin und Vladimir Malakhov. Vol.1.

The first chapter of a new era in German dance history has been written: With ‚Spitzen-Variationen‘, both the director and the ensemble of the Berlin State Ballet risk a first look back. The director Vladimir Malakhov, one of the most renowned and most prominent artists of the ballet scene, responded to a call to Berlin to make the newly founded Berlin State Ballet, the largest dance company of Germany, one of the top ensembles of the international dance scene. This edition helps to relive the eight great premieres and twelve repertoire pieces of the past two seasons. Complemented by portraits of all dancers, backstage pictures and rehearsal photos, this illustrated book is a real visual delight.
