Josef Baur repaired Radios in the 1930s. During the war, this keen engineer worked in Berlin on Radar projects and was involved with the resistance. In June 1945, he established a Workshop called Josef Baur physikalisch-technische Werkstätten. Five years later, he and his Team built the first portable high voltage cable test Generator: it weighed only 20 kg and produced 45,000 Volts dc. This device was a global success and Baur found his Business niche: testing and measurement Technology for the power supply industry. With the enthusiasm and commitment of Josef, his son Martin and many employees and Partners around the world, the following decades saw the emergence of the world leader in this specialty field.
