The Jewish Biographical Index is a cumulated index to all persons, represented in the Jewish Biographical Archive and the Jewish Biographical Archive. Series II. This index contains the names, name variations and pseudonyms, alphabetically arranged and including dates of birth and death and occupational details. It makes accessible 238,000 biographical articles on ca. 125,000 persons. The source works covered are presented in short form. The Jewish Biographical Index presents itself as an important reference work in two respects: It allows its user direct access to the original work in printed form as well as to the microfiches of the Jewish Biographical Archives and provides in short important biographical information.
