This book will include recent innovations on lead chemistry, describe how lead enters in the biosphere, and its impact on environment as well as ecological risk characterization for soil and plants as well as on humans. Chapters will be included from international authors and experts.
Lead is a micro-element naturally present in trace amounts in all biological materials i.e. in soil, water, plants and animals. It has no physiological function in the organisms. Main sources of lead contamination are smelting, application of wastewater treatment sludge’s to soil, transportation, rain, snow, hail and other.
