Escaping from the German Democratic Republic and into life as a refugee. To Austria, then back to Germany. The language was the same, but Germany and Germany were not the same.

This is the year when little Edi’s life changes drastically.
Her new home is called “refugee camp” – for nearly nine months. Today, in 2010, that’s a really short time.
But back then, for Edi, it was an eternity.
