The Civil War between the Union and the Confederacy enters a decisive phase…
At dawn on 3 September 1862, General Robert E. Lee and his Confederate army cross the Potomac River, bringing the war into Maryland for the first time. Lieutenant Jay Durango and his troops are also part of this force. General Lee orders Durango and his men to operate behind enemy lines, blowing up vital rail links. Meanwhile, Confederate troops continue to move towards Harpers Ferry. The munitions factory, which has already been captured by the Confederacy several times in the course of the Civil War, is an important strategic point, and soon the first heavy fighting breaks out.
Lieutenant Durango and his men manage to complete their mission successfully, but then get into great trouble when they are pursued by Union troops.
