Mayoress Basta plans to build a motorway – right through the grounds of the zoo: The enclosures would have to be torn down and the animals be moved to other zoos. The orchestra would be no more…A terrible thought – not only for Director Fröhlich, keeper Timo and the animal occupants. To prevent the end of the zoo, they hatch a plan at a crisis meeting: Musical demonstrations, guided evening tours and animal sponsorships shall help to collect money and recruit volunteers for the renovation of the zoo.And there is always the orchestra with its melodies, like the „Geier-Blues“, the „Schlangen-Swing“, or the protestsong „Jetzt ist Schluss!“. Now, they only have to convince Mayoress Basta! Heidi Leenen is a teacher with additional training in music who founded Mobiles MusikAtelier in 2000.
