Photografic Modernity from 1918-1948

“Praha, Paris, Barcelona” contains a tour that begins at the dawn of thetwentieth century with photographers from these three cities distantfrom each other but very close in terms of aesthetic options. The selection of images was made following the criterion of a collectiveview in order to represent the dominant trends, thus obliging a synthesisin favour of images that best contribute to tracing the path of this specifichistory of photography.Apart from photographic creation, some of the most important publishedworks are also included as well as the filmed contributions ofsome artists who have carried their experimentation to cinema, such asAlexander Hammid, Otakar Vavrá, Frantisek Pilát, en Prague; Man Ray,Marcel Duchamp, Fernando Léger and Salvador Dalí with Luis Buñuel,in Paris, and Domènec Gimenez, in Barcelona. The MNAC presents the Praha, Paris, Barcelona.
