The death of her daughter Sophie as well as the suicide of son Crown Prince Rudolf let the once cheerful princess become a melancholic, life-weary woman. Christian Qualtinger shows the pivotal moments in the fateful life of the Empress in a totally new way and expressive drawings, with texts by Reinhard Trinkler.
