Sonja Mataré (b. 1926) has a moving life story to tell, thanks to the eventful history of her father, the artist Ewald Mataré. In this lovingly designed memoire, she takes the reader on a journey through the history, events, and friendships that have formed her rich life. It was she who decided to train as a goldsmith and quickly procured clients for her exceptional pieces. After Ewald Mataré’s death she took on the preservation and management of his oeuvre, helping to establish the dissemination and recognition of his work to this day.
