Georg Dobler has been teaching as a professor for jewellery and objects at the Faculty of Design of the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Art in Hildesheim since 2002. This publication brings together 15 years of jewellery art and presents a selection of works which came into being between 2002 and 2016. The 52 artists presented here, who graduated in the competence area of metal design under Georg Dobler, grant an insight into the essence of making jewellery and objects: an ensemble of art and outstanding design informed with authenticity.

In the multi-layered competence area of metal design at the HAWK Faculty of Design, the interrelation of artisanal skills, personal expression and conceptual application are taught. The objective is the design of individual jewellery pieces and objects with one‘s own signature and infused with intensive character.
