Set in Azerbaijan in the middle of the 1990s, the protagonist is fought by numerous opponents, trying to keep him from fulfilling his personal mission of freedom. When a ruthless double agent from Scotland is instructed to stop him from arousing a rebellion, the ambassador finds himself in a life-or-death struggle.
