For the last 10 months the philippine photographer Jhoane Baterna-Pateña has observed people doing one of their favourite activities: The photographical self-staging. Therefore she visited the Golden Bauhinia Square in Hongkong, a mandatory landmark for every tourist, especially for the chinese ones. The photographer was fascinated by the lively hustle provided by thousands of visitors leaving their busses for a short selfie-break on their way from one photo stop to the other. Her study emphasizes the gestures and mimic expression of the selfie photographers and is enlightening as well as amusing. A document of a centemporary universal movement shaped by the strong sympathy with the actors.
