Today we know this prosperous area as the United Arab Emirates in 1952 it was the Trucial States or Trucial Oman. A wonderful collection of photographs mainly black and white due to the period they cover, but inter-dispersed with a few colourful more recent shots to show the difference that time and progress can make.
