It’s not often that a member of the Beatles‘ ‚inner circle‘ tells his or her story – there have of course been books by Derek Taylor, Brian Epstein, Peter Brown, Tony Barrow and a handful of others directly involved with the Beatles; all of which have been very informative in their own right. We at Apcor are proud to announce that we have been granted the exclusive rights to publish in print the biography by Kevin Harrington, who started working as an office boy for NEMS in 1966 and worked his way up, first as a stagehand at Brian Epstein’s Saville Theatre to become in charge of the Beatles‘ equipment from 1968 onwards and acted not only as their roadie for them but was also assigned many other chores and odd jobs. Kevin has written an informative and highly entertaining book about his experiences with the Beatles and takes you through their crazy day-to-day world, from the recording of The Beatles double album to the Get Back sessions at Twickenham, the rooftop concert, onto the recording of the Beatles‘ final album Abbey Road and finally to George’s Friar Park and last, but by no means least, helping out at The Concert For Bangla Desh.
The book is illustrated with many unique and superb photos of Kevin, with or without the Beatles as well as rare documents and other memorabilia. Although Kevin’s book has been available for some time already as an e-book, this printed edition will be a strictly limited hardcover edition of 500 copies only, including a bookplate signed by the author himself. Also, this is an expanded version compared to the digital version with a unique extra chapter about his experiences during the Concert For Bangla Desh, not included in the e-book version.
